About Us
The best way for you to know
more about us is to tell you more about what we believe, what we value, and what we
remember.
We
believe...
- In one God who is the
creator of all. He is sovereign in all ways through all times. He is alive and active today. In His names are
insights into His character and the relationship He seeks with us... Names like... Redeemer... Provider...
Healer... Peace... Protector... Everlasting... Most High Lord of All. God exists in three persons; Father, Son and
Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 40:28; Ephesians 4:6)
- Jesus Christ is The
Son of God and the only source of salvation. The deepest needs of our hearts can only be satisfied by Him. He is
the ultimate model for how we should live. He died a substitutional death to take away the sins of the world. He
was buried and he arose from the grave by the power of God. He then commissioned all His followers to communicate
the meaning of His life, death and resurrection to the world. (Colossians 1:15-20; Romans 5:6-11)
- The Holy Spirit came
into the world to convict people of sin. He empowers Christians with gifts for ministry, spiritual growth, prayer,
service and worship; all for the purpose of honoring Jesus and blessing His church. (John 14:15-19; 1 Corinthians
6:17-20; Acts 2:38; Romans 8:9)
- The Word has been
since the beginning. Scripture is inspired by God. It perfectly reveals God’s nature and wisdom for all people of
all times past, present and future. The Bible is the book that reflects the Living Word of God, presenting Jesus as
the Lord of all. (John 1:1; John 1:14; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16)
- We are saved by grace
through faith in Jesus Christ. God’s adds all who are being saved to His church. We believe God commands
immersion baptism to be the expression of faith for those who repent and confess Jesus. Doing so they reenact the
death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and by God’s power Christ’s the saving blood cleanses their life and make
them into a new person, part of God’s family. (Ephesians 2:18; Titus 3:3-8; Romans 6:3-5; Colossians
2:12)
- The church is the
body of Christ and He is its head. The purpose of the church is to continue the mission of Jesus through worship,
ministry and the proclamation of God’s salvation. (1 Corinthians 12:27; Ephesians 4:12; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians
1:22,23)
- The Lord’s Supper
should be celebrated each Sunday, as it was with the early Christians of the Bible, so the church lives in regular
remembrance that the cross of Christ is at the center of all we are and all we should be. (Acts 20:7; 1 Corinthians
11:23-26)
- Worship is the
lifestyle of the Christian and when Christians assemble to worship together it is a sacred time of praise,
celebration, remembrance and encouragement. (Romans 12:1, 2; John 4:23,24; 1 Corinthians 14:25,26; Hebrews 12:26,
27)
- We are a loving
family of believers who accepts, teaches, encourages, forgives, honors and loves one another to the glory of God.
The family of believers is a safe place where authenticity is cherished, grace is practiced in all ways and Jesus
is honored. (Ephesians 4:22-32; 1 John 3:10-16)

We Remember...
In essentials, we have unity: “There is one Body and one
spirit...there is one Lord, one faith, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…(Ephesians
4).”
In non-essentials, we have liberty: “Accept him whose faith is
weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters...stop passing judgment on one another...each of us will give
account of himself to God...so whatever you believe about these things [non-essentials] keep between yourself and
God (Romans 14).”
In all things, we show love: “...If I have faith to move
mountains but have no love, I amount to nothing at all (1 Corinthians 13).”
