WHAT WE BELIEVE?

We're an Independent, Undenominational Christian Church.

We believe the Bible is inspired by God, infallible, and authoritative, (2 Timothy 3:16, 17).

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ—in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in his miracles, in his atoning death through his shed blood, in his bodily resurrection, in his ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in his personal return in power and glory, (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3, 4; John 1:1, 14:3).

We believe every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (Romans 3:23).

We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential for the redemption of lost and sinful people, and that salvation the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life is not gained by human effort, but by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, (Titus 3:4-7; Ephesians 2:8, 9).

We believe Christian baptism is the immersion in water of a repentant, professing believer, (Acts 8:36-38), a picture of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, (Romans 6:1-4), resulting in forgiveness of sins and the indwelling gift of God's Holy Spirit, (Acts 2:38, 22:16).

We believe the church is the bride of Christ, (Ephesians 5:25-27) and the body of Christ, (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

We believe the local church is to be led and shepherded by wise and godly men called elders, (1 Peter 5:1-4; 1 Timothy 3:1-6; Titus 1:5-9).

We believe the purpose of the church on earth is to make disciples learners and followers of Jesus Christ—of all people, (Matthew 28:18-20).

We believe the Holy Spirit, whom every believer receives at conversion, leads and guides us through His word, (Romans 8:1-17; Ephesians 1:13, 14).

We believe Jesus Christ will one day return to earth to claim his people as his own and take them to Heaven forever, (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to the resurrection of life and the lost to the resurrection of damnation, (Matthew 25:31-46).

We believe Jesus Christ desired and prayed for the unity of all Christians under his authority as head of the church, (John 17:20-23).
